Edward I. Grinder, President
From 1943-1946, Mr. Grinder served in the 114th Naval Construction Battalion (NCB) in France, the 169th NCB in Belgium, Holland, and Germany, and the 85th NCB in Wake Island. Mr. Grinder was superintendent for McDonald Engineering Corporation, Chicago, IL from 1947-1948 and was Vice President & General Manager of Construction for Southern Builders, Incorporated, Memphis, TN from 1949-1968. Mr. Grinder founded Grinder, Taber, & Grinder, Inc. in 1968 with Irven E. Grinder and Harold Taber.

Mr.Grinder graduated from Memphis University School in 1991, Cum Laude from the Georgia institute of technology with a bachelor of CivilEngineering in 1995, and was an Office Engineer with Beers Construction Co., Atlanta, GA from 1995-1996. Mr. Grinder joined the company full-time in 1996 as an Estimator and Project Manager. Mr. Grinder sits on the Board of Trustees for The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, the Memphis University School Alumni Executive Board and the Board of the West Tennessee Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.

Mr.Grinder studied construction Technology at the University of Memphis from 1966-1969 and worked for Southern Builders, Inc. during summers. He joined GTG at its inception and has held position of Superintendent ,Estimator, and Project Manager with the company. Mr. Grinder served in the U.S. Navy “Sea Bees” from 1970-1973.

Mr. Grinder graduated from the University of Memphis with Bachelor of Business Administration in 1973. Mr. Grinder joined the firm at its inception and has held position of Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager with the company. Mr. Grinder is a past board member of the Memphis Humane Society and listed in Memphis Business Quarterly's Players in Construction.
John Grinder, Vice President of Operations

Mr.Grinder has over 30 years of experience in commercial construction and has worked for the company since 1973. As VP of Operation, Mr. Grinder oversees and coordinates field construction.

Mr.Grinder graduated from Memphis University School in 1997, Cum Laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering in 2001, and was an Office Engineer and Estimator with the Winter Construction Company, Atlanta, GA from 2001-2002. Mr. Grinder joined the company full time in 2002 as an Estimator and Project Manager.
