Built in 2005, this stunning structure ranks among the country’s most beautiful collegiate libraries and has become the symbolic heart of the Rhodes College community. Step into the interior of the 136,000 square-foot library and you will be greeted by craftsman quality woodwork, soaring arches, stained glass, and a monumental staircase. The high-end exterior architectural components are built in stone specific to maintaining the Collegiate Gothic architecture tradition of the Rhodes campus. In this space, students have access to 24-hour study availability and group study rooms, assistance with technology and academic research, testing and event spaces, computer and digital media labs, and even a Starbucks.

Grinder, Taber & Grinder was able to save the college over $1M on the project through cost engineering rather than reducing the scope of the project.
