New local Live Nation venue seeks 150 workers

A brand-new music venue is opening in Memphis this September, and it’s looking to hire for over 100 jobs.

Satellite Music Hall, a Live Nation venue located at Crosstown Concourse, is hosting a job fair this week to fill team positions. The venue’s opening will be a Sept. 4-5 hometown show by The Band Camino.

The job fair will be held on Aug. 6-7 at 1291 Autumn Ave.

Live Nation expects to hire more than 150 people for permanent positions. Wages start at $20 per hour and up to $25 per hour for supervisors. Almost all roles are part-time, but Live Nation is hiring a local full-time junior talent buyer to book events at Satellite.

The venue is hiring various part-time positions, including security, box office, food and beverage, production, and operations roles, among others. Positions are posted through Live Nation; food and beverage roles are listed through Oak View Group.

Satellite Music Hall will have a capacity of 1,300. The venue will host concerts, comedy shows and community gatherings. The venue is a partnership with Memphis' Stax Music Academy, offering local students hands-on music industry experience.

The venue, announced in November 2024, broke ground in February 2025. The 35,000-square-foot facility sits at the corner of Autumn Avenue and Claybrook Street.

The space was designed by Live Nation’s in-house design and development group, Blueprint Studio, in partnership with Crosstown Concourse and archmania. Grinder, Taber & Grinder was the general contractor on the project.
