Crosstown Concourse has officially broken ground on new coworking space as the urban hub looks to further activate its campus.
Crosstown CoWork will offer offices and shared workspaces geared toward freelancers, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and remote workers. Construction is already underway.
“Almost from the beginning, we’ve received constant requests for a space like this,” said Todd Richardson, CEO of Crosstown Concourse. “There are many people who want to be part of the Concourse ecosystem but don’t need a large office. This allows them to plug into the community and opportunities that make this place a catalyst for innovation in Memphis.”
The coworking space will be located on the second floor, at the top of the red spiral staircase near Crosstown Arts.
Plans include 13 furnished private offices, 14 dedicated desks with lockable storage, a shared conference room, kitchen, phone room, and mailroom.
Memberships will be offered on a monthly or annual basis and will include utilities, cleaning, high-speed internet, printing, and mail services. The space is expected to open in the spring of next year.
“The reality is that working from home isn’t always ideal,” Richardson said. “Sometimes you need a dedicated workspace with reliable connectivity. Being at Crosstown also creates opportunities to connect with others and grow your business.”
Office space has been a key focus at Crosstown this year as tenant needs continue to evolve. Some existing tenants have downsized, while new tenants have also joined the development.
