Third Church of Christ, Scientist
Looking to move from a large, aging facility, Third Church of Christ, Scientist selected Grinder, Taber & Grinder to deliver a smaller, updated place of worship.
The project required demolition of an existing structure and infilling of a basement before construction of the new wood-framed building could begin. GTG constructed a contemporary space defined by vaulted ceilings and exposed wood trusses.
The facility includes a library, meditation rooms, office space, and a custom sound system. A salvaged stained glass window from the original building was incorporated into the new design, preserving a meaningful connection to the church’s history.
